Once the most glorious state right from the state of Oldest Living Language of the world, the state whose Rulers 1000 years ago had the biggest Navy of the world, has now become the Land of drunkards, kanja addicts, hooligans, bootleggers turned politicians.
As per media reports at least 50 persons have died after consuming illicit liquor which are available at many parts of the state.
TN CM has announced Rs. 10 Lakhs per dead person's family as solatium. The Government has collected Hard earned Tax Payers Money and the Political Head encouraging illicit Liquor drinkers to drink and die. This is not the first time it is happening. Last Year in 2023, In TN, Marakkanam several people died of illicit Liquor consumption. In many districts, these sales are happening in Broad day light.
Govt itself running Liquor Business : Liquor made in a factory or in a forest both are not good for health. But TN Govt through its TASMAC sales outlets is offering Liquor at every nook and corner in the state. Most of the youth and Men & women across all age groups are addicted to Liquor. Govt is setting targets for sales during Diwali & Pongal.

The state is leading in the country in Liquor sales. Irrespective of the which of Two Dravidian parties are in power, story remains the same. Most of the distilleries are owned by Politicians or their Benamies.
So Tamils are not employable in most of the Industries as many men even during working hours come to work fully drunk. In fact, TN Govt Minister for Prohibition & Excise Mr. Muthusamy condemned those who label persons who drink early in the Morning at 7 am as drunkards.

Even for farming, at many part of the state, many people from outside the state are only coming to work. Local men and women are most of the time spending either in TASMAC outlets or idling at 100 days employment scheme (MNREGS )
Most of the Private Hospitals in TN are run by People with Political connections, so state is ensuring there are enough patients available and collect from the people who are dependent on freebies from the Government.
Most of the Medical colleges are also connected to the Hospitals and they want the Capitation fees from the students at exorbitant rates burdening the parents, who are doubly working hard to earn to pay for their children's' education loans.
Every Movie from Kollywood, are showing scenes where all the heroes and heroines are shown drinking alcohol as a direct promotion of the addiction culture.
Current CM Mr MK Stalin promised and participated in most of the agitation for closing the Liquor shops in TN as a opposition Leader when AIADMK was in Power. This was one of the reason DMK came to Power in 2021. But now his government is nowhere near the commitment he showed towards prohibition.
TN becoming Desert :
TN has river water disputes with all the three neighbouring states Karnataka in Kaveri, Thenpennai, With Kerala - Mullai Periyar & no of smaller rivers, with Andhra - Palar, Krishna & many other smaller rivers. TN Politicians are most happy with the disputes as they can do sand mining business in river beds and exporting it to many other states.
General Public perception is Politicians are purposefully asking the neighboring states to stop the water through rivers to mint money through sand mining.

TN facing severe water crisis & severe floods :
Most of the rainfall is happening in TN only due to cyclonic storm and the days of seasonal rains are coming down. So TN has witnessed heavy rainfall pouring in just four days what would normally fall throughout the year. So either severe flood without enough storage space or no water during most part of the year.
Many water bodies are getting wiped off :

Tamilnadu is naturally suited for Agriculture Only
Being closely located to the equator, TN gets the maximum sunshine throughout the year and good rainfall average made the state with one of the most fertile lands for agricultural produces. TN is one state where both the plains crops and hills crops can be grown equally efficiently.
Instead of locating water gulping Industries like Automobiles, Dyeing units etc... TN should redesign itself to get more agri-related small scale industries at village levels as that only can save already water stressed State from further despair and ensure decent living.
This post is to open the eyes of all those industrialists who are running their Industries & prospective Industrialists who are planning to open an industry to note that
1. This state cannot give you quality workmen and women as it is already denigrading due to alcohol and drug culture.
2. With water becoming increasingly scarce, Industries cannot be run here on a long term basis and industries have to relocate.
Instead it is high time to QUIT TN to SAVE TN from further worsening.
