 On 5th September every year, India celebrates it as TEACHERS DAY, after India's 1st Vice President & Philosopher Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan.

Teachers are essentially igniters of the flame, ready to be lit. Kindlers of passion. Enablers of the conducive environment.

Teaching is not unidirectional from the Teacher to the student or from the black board to the benches. It is a bi-directional communication & continuous evolvement of both the Pupil & Teacher. A great teacher is actually a continuous learner & enabler for creating an environment for a pupil to evolve into a beautiful responsible being on Earth.

Parents are the 1st & foremost teachers in every beings' lives.

All the challenges the present society is facing is due to absolving everyone's responsibility & Thrusting the total responsibility on the School Teacher. In this highly challenging environment of competitive survival, it is the school teacher who are carrying the burden of expectations of the Parents & society. 

In the practical sense, A child's development is equally influenced by the Parents, teachers & the society. It is the collective responsibility. Probably that is the reason Dr Radha Krishnan, didn't limit himself to the level of the teacher & He expanded his horizon to become a politician, then an administrator to have larger influence on the society. The People's president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam too emphasized on becoming a great teacher to become a role model for students to get inspired , aspire & become a evolved citizen.

So This day is not a just a token day for appreciation of the Teachers' role. It is a process for continuous evolution of a responsible & inclusive society.
